*Quarantine special rates, per night, APAI, Taxes extra

In view of the ongoing COVID-19 scenario, all passengers arriving by international flights at the Delhi Airport will have to undergo seven days of institutional quarantine at their own cost, followed by one-week of home quarantine. As per the latest guidelines issued by the airport authority, all international passengers will have to sign an undertaking that they accept this obligation (of seven days paid institutional quarantine), which will be retained by the overseas mission/embassy before the booking is confirmed.

Furthermore, international passengers who are planning to stay on in Delhi-NCR region will have to undergo mandatory health screening which includes a primary screening by health officials of the airport, followed by a secondary screening at Delhi government post after which they will be allowed to proceed to the approved quarantine location.

The authority said that only pregnant women, those who suffered death in the family, those suffering from a serious illness, and parents travelling with children below 10 years will be provided an exception for which they will have to send an undertaking form, along with required documents, to airportcovid@gmail.com.

Meanwhile, all domestic passengers will have to undergo mandatory thermal screening near the exit gates and only those who are found asymptomatic will be allowed to leave the airport premises. They will further have to stay under home quarantine for 7 days.

The transit passengers are required to undergo temperature checks at both the departures and entry gates before catching their next flight.

"Passengers arriving on an international Vande Bharat Mission flight may only take a connecting domestic flight if it also comes under the Vande Bharat Mission. However, passengers who are planning to board onward domestic flights will have to obtain an authorised exemption certificate, if they are coming through non-Vande Bharat international flights," the authority further said.

The Hotel Guidelines

  • The usage of safety gloves and masks are made mandatory for all the guests entering the hotel.
  • Only 70% of the existing employees will be available in the hotel for providing services to the guests.
  • Food can only be available via room service, on disposable plates and cutleries. It will be served on trolleys maintaining social distancing.
  • The used rooms will not be available for further accommodation at least for three days, in the meantime, the rooms will be thoroughly disinfected.
  • The cleaning services will not be available, and so for the entire period of quarantine, the guests will be responsible for their rooms’ cleanliness.

Hospitality Service Guidelines in India

  • All the staff should be properly trained in hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene. They must know how to act during emergency situations and follow safety protocols.
  • Before booking, the guests are needed to inform the hotel about there travel history and connection with any COVID patient in the past.
  • The guests will have to maintain the personal hygiene protocol thoroughly and use the alcohol-based sanitizer when they are in public areas. They should be wearing masks and gloves all the time.
  • Guests with any travel history in affected areas have to remain in their rooms all the time.
  • If any guest falls sick and develops symptoms of fever, cough, breathlessness, or sore throat they should be admitted to the hospital as soon as possible.
  • The hotel staff should also keep in mind their personal safety and use PPE kits.
  • The hotel staff should avoid physical contact with the eyes, nose, and mouth as much as possible. The used protective case should be disposed of after the work is completed the hands should be vigorously washed at a regular interval.
